Senior Vice President, Managing Director
Michael has been involved with mergers & acquisitions (“M&A”) for over 15 years. After graduating from law school, Michael worked as an attorney focused on international M&A transactions. Preferring to be more involved in making deals happen, Michael left the practice of law and began working as a consultant. He was part of the first internal consulting practice to be assembled within Fannie Mae (at the time, the largest purchaser of mortgages in the United States). While with Fannie Mae, Michael worked with business and system partners to develop new processes and technologies, define corporate and information technology strategies, and purchase or sell business entities. Michael also worked for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, domestically and abroad, focusing on e-commerce businesses. He was involved with the development and spin-off of several technology-based business units, both here in the U.S. and internationally.
Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area over five years ago, Michael has helped investors and companies in the real estate industry maximize their return on investment. He is a partner in a boutique real estate agency that assists very high net-worth individuals who wish to invest wisely in real estate, and he also owns a finance company.
With his legal background and expertise in putting together deals, Michael brings to The March Group an ability to assist clients from the buyer’s perspective. He can determine which clients are best suited to go to the market immediately and which clients should go through a structured process designed to maximize their growth in the next 1-3 years. Because of his entrepreneurial experience, Michael understands, first-hand, the challenges faced by business owners in the marketplace and helps them meet these challenges head-on.
Michael received his B.S. in from the Colorado School of Mines and his J.D. from Georgetown University. Michael is married and has four children, all of whom are studying to be scratch golfers!? especially the five-year-old!
